Christ Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbytery of Charlotte, which includes seven counties (Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Richmond, Stanly, and Union) and is comprised of 134 Churches (1 in Chesterfield Co., SC), 41,104 Members, 282 Ministers, and 46 Educators. The Presbytery of Charlotte is part of the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic, which includes 14 presbyteries. The Presbytery of Charlotte and the Synod of the Mid-Atlantic are governing bodies of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Our congregation is organized according to our denomination’s Book of Order. Men and women are nominated and elected by the congregation to serve three-year terms as ordained elders and as trustees.

The Session

The congregation’s governing body, the Session, is comprised of 18 elected elders who represent the members. The Session is moderated by the pastor. We are a unicameral church, meaning we have combined the functions of elders and deacons within one body, the Session, and do not have a separate diaconate.

The Session is responsible for the mission and governance of the church, for congregational care, for overview and management of the church’s financial resources, for the care and use of the church's building and grounds, and for hospitality toward the congregation and guests.

The Clerk of the Session is Tonya McCullough, the Assistant Clerk is Linda Barber, and its members are as follows:
