Leslie R. Stacks was called as Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in March of 2003. Leslie earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Sociology and Art from the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee, and earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia and a Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C. She also has studied at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado; Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan; and Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.

Prior to coming to Christ Presbyterian Church, Leslie served as Student-in-Ministry of First Presbyterian Church, Richmond, Virginia; Campus Minister for Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia; Chaplain of The Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, Connecticut; Chaplain of the Cranbrook-Kingswood Schools, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; associate attorney with Womble, Carlyle, Sandridge & Rice, PLLC, Charlotte, North Carolina; partner with Poyner & Spruill, LLP, Charlotte, North Carolina; and Associate Pastor of Charlotte's Paw Creek Presbyterian Church.

Leslie is married to C. W. Stacks, who is Chair of the Science Department at Charlotte Latin School. They have two Vizsla dogs, Fergus and Lacey, and two cats, Jake and Pete.

Music Director

Brandon Cook became Music Director for Christ Presbyterian Church in July of 2002, but he has been engaged in the ministry of music since he was 13. Brandon earned a B.S. in Christian Education from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he also studied music. He holds an Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science from Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Prior to coming to Christ Presbyterian, Brandon spent 12 years in music ministry in the United Church of Christ. In addition to his work with us, he is the Manager of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Home at Forest Lawn West Cemetery. Brandon has a grown daughter, Tiffany, and a grandson, Elijah.
